At Emerald Care, we are always concerned about the welfare of our caregivers and clients. To date, the majority of our staff have been fully vaccinated via the COVID-19 vaccination(s). Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have taken all necessary steps to protect both from the virus by implementing new policies and procedures to protect them. These changes include not entering the residence of anyone suspected of having; 1) a fever or symptoms of a respiratory infection (such as a cough or sore throat), 2) anyone who has traveled internationally in the last 14 days to a CDC Level 3 risk country, or 3) anyone who has potentially been in contact with someone exposed to the virus. We are also requiring that all of our employees and clients follow proper and regular hand hygiene, perform respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette, and effectively utilize environmental cleaning and disinfecting.
As added precaution, and per CDC recommendations, all of our employees are taking their temperatures every morning and reporting anything greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit to our nursing manager. If they do exhibit a fever, they will not report to work or interact in any way with our clients. We also ask that our clients take their own temperature before our staff stop by and alert us if they are running a fever. Please reach out to us at 435-604-0949 if you have any questions or need additional information.
